The Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet in Coil (GI) is produced by subjecting the Full Hard sheet to an acid washing process and rolling it through the zinc pot, thereby applying a zinc film to its surface.   This results in excellent corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability due to the inherent characteristics of Zinc.   Generally, the process and specifications for hot-dipped galvanized steel sheets and galvanized steel coils are essentially identical.   Hot-dip galvanizing involves applying a protective zinc coating to a steel or iron sheet in order to prevent rusting.   It offers outstanding anti-corrosion properties, paintability, and processability due to zinc's self-sacrificing nature.   Moreover, it allows for selecting and producing desired amounts of zinc plating while enabling thick layers of up to 120g/m2.   Depending on whether the sheet undergoes skin pass treatment or not, it can be classified as either zero spangle or extra smooth.
